Los Angeles Cupid is focused on providing introductions to Los Angelean singles using the latest Internet technology in conjunction with fun parties and events that encourage social interaction. We offer a secure online environment where members can meet and get to know potential soulmates at their own pace. And we organize interesting get togethers that foster friendship and romance in enjoyable settings. 

History
Los Angeles Cupid was launched in January 2003. The original cupid website (Singapore Cupid) was launched in August 2002. Within four months, we attracted a community of over 8,000 Singaporeans and quickly became the leading online dating site in Singapore.

We attribute this success to tremendous efforts springing from a strong belief in the effectiveness of online dating. The founders of Los Angeles Cupid, Sanju and Anne Goswami, met on a dating website. Their relationship blossomed via email and phone calls. This occurred despite a separation of 10,000 km between Anne’s home in Singapore and Sanju’s in Hawaii. After months of correspondence, Sanju and Anne met in Singapore and the couple quickly realized that this was a match made in heaven.

Sanju and Anne both agree that the time they invested in communicating their thoughts and beliefs via email allowed them to understand each other on a deeper level than possible during ordinary conversation. After marriage, the couple committed themselves to helping others find love and companionship. Sanju had recognized the power of the Internet as an introduction service years before and had already been developing his own dating software. Anne understood the need for a dating website dedicated to serving Singaporeans. The subsequent synergy gave birth to Singapore Cupid! Anne and Sanju then started LA Cupid to serve Singles in Los Angeles County.
